Peggy Grauwiler
I have extensive experience in supporting executive leadership and boards with organizational transitions, including strategic planning, fund development, executive recruitment, interim leadership and executive coaching. I am well-versed in and passionate about program development, implementation, and evaluation. I have played key roles in creating programs in criminal justice, the child welfare system, as well as the larger community to address intimate partner violence, trauma, and mental health.
I began my career working with abused and neglected children and adolescents, as well as young women struggling to leave abusive intimate relationships. In 2013, I successfully led advocacy and lobbying for the full restoration of critical statewide funding from the Office of Court Administration for CASA-NYC and CASAs in 19 other New York counties.
I hold a Ph.D. in Clinical Social Work from New York University, a M.S. in Social Work from Columbia University, and a B.A. in Art History and Psychology from Hunter College. Publications include Children and Youth Services Review, Journal of Sociology and Social Welfare, The New York Times, and Public Health Reports.
