Sally Cross

In 2023, I retired from my position as President & CEO of the Community Foundations of the Hudson Valley.  My forty year career has included leading the SUNY New Paltz Foundation and office of Alumni Affairs, and teaching graduate courses on planned gifts, major gifts, and capital campaigns.

In my semi-retirement, I have presented to local organizations and at national and regional conferences on planned giving, and board fundraising. I continue to be active in the local nonprofit arena, serving on the boards of the Wallkill Valley Land Trust, Woodland Pond at New Paltz, and the Poughkeepsie Children’s Cabinet

As a consultant, I like to help my clients analyze their challenges and map out actionable steps to integrate new programs or policy elements into their existing plans. I also like to use data to measure progress and identify what is working and what needs to be changed.
